Offered in a 60/40 cotton/polyester blend, these "Venom Saves Lives" t-shirts are extremely comfortable! Be sure to sport your new t-shirt to help educate people about the many different applications venom is being used for in research! A component of copperhead venom, called contortrostatin, was isolated by researchers at the University of Southern California and is currently used in ongoing research to develop treatments for various types of cancer. Current trials have only been used on mice and human trials have not been approved.
