About the Event
This two-day course reviews and expands upon the concepts and techniques taught in Level 1 by diving deeper into classroom topics like advanced venom toxinology, snakebite case studies, first aid in a field setting, wildlife capture, and more; with more advanced hands-on techniques like capturing, restraining, sampling, and handling venomous snakes. This course includes a field day where students will assist in ongoing research with a wild population of rattlesnakes in a challenging outdoor environments.
Lodging:
A limited number of cabin rooms are available for $75/person for the weekend. Select the "Lodging" option with your registration if you would like to reserve a room. Cabins each have 3 private, lockable rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen with stove for cooking. You will need to bring your own bedding. There are plenty of other lodging options on the island, and Brunswick GA is just 20 minutes away.
