Hey campers!
Welcome to Conservation Camp! We are so excited to meet you at Tree Hill Nature Center for an incredible week of adventure, exploration, and the outdoors. Your campers will take part in some important citizen science initiatives, environmental and wildlife monitoring projects, and meet and have the opportunity to interact with some fascinating wildlife ambassadors.
For those of you with previous campers, we will NOT be doing our Wednesday kayak day during our 2022 conservation camp. Although we will still be heading to Huguenot Memorial Park as we did in previous years, we will be learning about coastal systems (like intertidal zones and dunes), swimming, and seining for low tide treasures instead of kayaking.
You will see below this message several forms that will need to be filled out prior to camp. Please be sure to fill these out and bring them on the first day! It is very important we have these, as we do not want your camper to miss out on fun!
Message from our Conservation Camp Director
1. Camp Policies and Procedures
This document has important information on the day to day operations of camp, what to bring, and what we expect from our campers. It also has cellphone and email contact information for Megan Grams and I - as we will be your children's camp counselors this year!
2. Camper Registration
This form will give us the basics of your child like what name they prefer to be called, as well as outline any special information about them that you want us to know. This form also allows you to authorize additional people to pick up your child from camp. Please be aware that any people who are authorized to pick up aside from the listed parents / guardians MUST show identification AND be listed on this form before your child will be released to them.

3. First Aid & Medical Emergency Care Consent Form
In the event of an emergency, this form will travel with your child to the hospital. This also provides us with emergency contact information in case we cannot get a hold of you, your child's physician, and allows you to provide us details of any chronic health conditions, allergies, or food sensitivities your child may have.
4. Camper Release & Waiver
Please read these forms carefully and complete one for each child that you will be enrolling in camp!
Finally, I have created a private Facebook group for parents and family members. This will be a fun community where we can share stories, pictures, and other details of camp, as well as for you to connect with other parents - so be sure to join if you're interested and invite your close family members who you want to stay in the loop. This group is private, so nobody outside of the group can see anything that's posted - but you can search for the group and request to join by typing "Conservation Camp - Campers, Parents, and Families" into the facebook search bar.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. We cannot wait to get started and to meet you all!

Warmly,
Tiffany Bright, SE Regional Director and Conservation Camp Director
